Q What does the M stand for in the base
rate of $250.00/M?
A The "M" stands for per thousand.
Q Can we buy a mail or email list?
A All the lists that we offer to our clients are
for One-Time Rental only. There is only one list out of Europe that's for
outright sale. Click
here for that list. The prices you see quoted on a DataPage are
for One-Time Rental. We can make arrangements for multiple uses, usually
at a discount.
Q Why is pre approval required? If I find
the names I want at the price I want to pay, is there anything else involved?
A Yes there is. Every list renter whether mail
or email, must submit a sample to the publisher for approval of their proposed
mailing, email and/or phone script. The publisher can deny any renter's
request for any reason.
Q What does a seeded list mean?
A Every publisher/list owner wants to make sure
that if you rent their list for a one-time rental you don't re-use it without
paying for the additional use. The publisher/list owner inserts names into
your list that are actually names and addresses (or email addresses) of
people that work for the publisher/list owner.
Q What is a compiled list?
A Any list created from the compilation of public
sources such as phone books, deed information, directories, newspapers
and courthouse records.
Q What's a Suppression File and Why do I
have to have one?
A The Suppression
File requirement was part of the CAN SPAM Act of 2003 and only involves
email blasts. The purpose of the file is to ensure that email recipients
that have opted-out of receiving any further emails from the sender do
not receive any emails from that sender. In compliance with the CAN SPAM
Act of 2003, Publishers inserts a footer in all email messages to allow
the email recipient to opt out of receiving future emails from sender.
Advertisers must also include a link or email address within their message
that allows recipients to opt out of any of the advertiser’s future broadcasts.
Advertisers must supply a suppression file that includes all of their
opt outs from previous broadcasts. Any of the opt outs contained on the
advertiser’s suppression file that match to Publishers email addresses
will be removed prior to transmission and added to their advertisers file.
If an advertiser does not have a suppression file, they must send an email
stating that fact.
Q. How do you filter your list?
A Every list on our Web site is sourced from the
pharmaceutical, biotech, medical devices and healthcare trade publications
we show in our Publications Page. We also offer
our clients lists from the major trade associations serving the pharmaceutical,
biotech and medical professions.
The data source for these subscriber lists, both mail and email, is
the subscription card that you'll see inside any of these publications.
The applicant answers questions about their job function, industry etc.
If the applicant "Qualifies" they will begin receiving a free subscription.
Thus the "Filter" is the subscription card. This data is the foundation
for the list.
A major advantage of subscriber lists is the fact that they are updated
every month, e.g. for a monthly publication.
Q I want to buy a list of just one state,
it that possible?
A Yes. Geographic Selects are based upon subscribers
3 digit Zip Code and the State where the publication is delivered.
Q Why are the rental prices shown on each DataPage
different?
A The rental costs are different for each list.
These base rates/prices are dictated by the publisher and like everything
else, are based upon demand for the list. Prices shown on our site are
always the Publisher's Posted Rate.
Q Are titles as well as geographical area
selections possible?
A The information we show on each DataPage, such
as Job Function, are sourced from the Subscription Card. If the Card asked
for Title and the applicant fills it out, then we'll have names with a
Title associated with it. For example, in the mail list for American
Biotechnology Laboratory Mail, we have 12,730 people that have checked
off Research Scientist on the Subscription Card-Job Function.
Q Can I look for list possibilities by job function
or industry?
A Yes, in addition to looking through our list
of publications, here's another way to locate the right list on our site.
This new section is currently under construction and it is linked
here.
For example, if you are looking for a list of Research Scientists, you
can now scroll down on this page until you see Research
and Development (linked) Click on the link and you'll find a page entitled
Pharmaceutical-
List Selections by Job Function and Job Title: Research and Development.
This page contains over 60 links to all those Publication DataPages
that contain names that have been identified as being in the Research and
Development Job Function.
